Kristina Pittman, Writing and Communication

Hi there! I’m Kristina Pittman.

I have a passion for crafting compelling, memorable pieces that captivate audiences, with a focus on written communication, speechwriting, executive communication, instructional design, and facilitation.

I have high expectations for personal and collective growth, and my mission is to empower my clients to communicate powerfully and effectively.

How I Got Here

I have always enjoyed reading and writing, which is why I pursued degrees in English and Communication, but when I read Joseph Campbell’s The Power of Myth I was captivated by his argument that stories are the most powerful tool for transformation.

His work encouraged me to inspire others through the power of words, and he convinced me of the transformative power of storytelling to change the world.

Indeed, stories have the power to change individuals, groups, and society because stories change hearts and minds.

Most of us have had a mentor who inspired us to achieve greatness.

For me, this mentor was Dr. Rebecca Sipe. Because of her instruction, I excelled in my coursework and career.

Before I graduated, I asked her how I could ever thank her for everything she did for me.

Her response: “Mentor others in the same way I mentored you.”

In honor of Dr. Sipe, I have over 25 years of experience serving as a teacher, coach, facilitator, curriculum writer, mentor, and public speaker.

Today I

My mission is to collaborate with clients as we use language to uplift and inspire others. I work with my clients on creating engaging content that captivates audiences.

I value:

  • mentoring and modeling
  • building strong, trusting relationships through collaboration
  • the role of data in decision making
  • the importance of inquiry-based reflection
  • the value of specific goal setting, ongoing training, and open communication and dialogue

My ability to facilitate learning-focused conversations have thoroughly prepared me for working with clients on professional writing, executive communication, and instructional design in a wide variety of settings.

Some of my professional projects include crafting and editing keynote speeches, presentations, essays, articles, reports, and social media content.

I also work with leaders on instructional design and professional development.

I am a reader for the Advanced Placement English exams, and I currently serve as a trainer for several national organizations.

Even More Personal

One thing about me is that I am passionate about health and fitness. I am an athlete, dancer, and fitness instructor. Additionally, I love working with others on reaching their health and fitness goals.

When I’m not working you can find me outdoors. Even in frigid temperatures, I need to get outside each day.

Although I have to travel to do so, one of my favorite outdoor activities is hiking through mountains.

I am an animal lover. We have always had at least one dog, but I love connecting with all animals, especially in their natural habitat.
