When you bring our Diversity & Inclusion Training into your organization, you help build empathy and understanding for all people, no matter where they are from, what they look like, whom they love, how they worship, or what language they speak. We will help you create an environment where everyone thrives.
For most people, the term “diversity” is most often associated with racial diversity. When people think of diverse environments, they often imagine the richness in ethnic and racial variety (much like this picture). While this is an excellent starting point, true diversity encompasses a much broader spectrum.
We are living through an historic moment in which inequality issues lead the news cycles and diversity initiatives are gaining momentum. Organizations across the country (and the world) need experts to lead their staff members through diversity and inclusion training. We have the solutions to the equity issues that are limiting the performance of individuals, teams, and entire organizations.
Our diversity and inclusion workshops focus on
“Inclusion and fairness in the workplace...is not simply the right thing to do; it's the smart thing to do.” ~Alexis Herman
Knowing the natural role you play in building diverse and inclusive environments, and knowing how to guide others in discovering their natural role, is ESSENTIAL to bring about lasting change in our workplaces and our world.
What sets apart this Diversity & Inclusion training—“Another Seat At The Table”— from any others in the marketplace is the proprietary core curriculum we have called:
The Pioneer, the Champion, and the Influencer
This core teaching helps everyone self-identify the role they can play and how each person as an individual is integral in this bigger picture process.
Continuous Improvement Solutions will help EACH PERSON in your organization identify…
If any staff member is playing the role of the hesitator or the obstructor, our program has all the tools needed to make it safe for them to open their minds to a more forward-thinking approach.
Another Seat At The Table is the DIFFERENCE-MAKER in being able to help any team thrive in the process of building greater diversity and inclusion.
In addition to the obvious moral importance, a lack of diversity across organizations of all sizes has created a $1 trillion gap for businesses in America ($3.7 trillion globally). The opportunity to improve the culture AND bottom line for proactive companies is undeniable.
Is your staff reflective of the school community they serve? As all stakeholders are valued members of your school community, this workshop provides insight into how to create an inclusive environment in which everyone is respected, listened to, and celebrated. In this session, participants will learn best practices for how to build trusting, positive, and beneficial relationships with linguistically, religiously, ethnically, socioeconomically diverse school communities by meeting the social, emotional, and instructional needs of ALL students and their families.
Talking with students about our world right now can certainly be challenging, but we cannot be bystanders during such a pivotal time in our history; rather, we need to be upstanders. This is not a time to sit back. This is the time to actively engage our children in conversations about race relations and social justice. Remaining silent or avoiding those conversations will likely be interpreted negatively as your communities are looking to you for leadership during this volatile time. Instead of merely reacting to conversations about race and social justice, participants will learn best practices for proactively facilitating healthy, constructive, and productive discussions.
Have you considered the socio-economic status of your families when teaching? Without realizing it, we often subconsciously teach with a bias that impacts our most vulnerable students. All schools have economically disadvantaged students who are left behind socially, emotionally, and academically. This workshop will share best practices for how to successfully lead diverse classrooms, how to plan and implement high-quality, differentiated instruction, and how to have meaningful interactions with ALL students and their families.
Learn best practices for building deeper personal and instructional connections with English Learners and their families. Through this workshop, participants will gain a better understanding of the challenges that English Learners and their families face in our schools and communities. By identifying these challenges, educators will be able to build positive relationships that will assist students in being socially and academically successful. The presenter, a former English Learner, has spent his entire career working with linguistically diverse student populations as a teacher and building principal.
“Inclusivity means not ‘just we’re allowed to be there,’ but we are valued. I’ve always said: smart teams will do amazing things, but truly diverse teams will do impossible things.”
-Claudia Brind-Woody
“We have a very diverse environment and a very inclusive culture, and those characteristics got us through the tough times. Diversity generated a better strategy, better risk management, better debates, and better outcomes.”
-Alan Joyce
“Unity, not uniformity, must be our aim. We attain unity only through variety. Differences must be integrated, not annihilated, not absorbed.”
-Mary Parker Follett
"Diversity and Inclusion, which are the real grounds for creativity, must remain at the center of what we do. "
-Marco Bizzarri
“When we listen and celebrate what is both common and different, we become a wiser, more inclusive, and better organization.”
-Pat Wadors
“Companies that embrace diversity and inclusion in all aspects of their business statistically outperform their peers.”
-Josh Bersin
